Jazmin worked hard to achieve her dream of owning a home. In the process, she earned many job promotions, employee of the month, and a nomination for the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association Star of the Industry Award. She is very proud of her achievements and to call herself a homeowner, but knows firsthand how quickly it can get taken away.
Unfortunate circumstances with her husband left Jazmin, a single parent with three young children and a full-time job.
She was the sole provider and caretaker of her children but still took on extra hours to ensure her mortgage, bills, and childcare were all covered. Jazmin was working feverishly to manage it all when her son got sick, preventing him from attending daycare and forcing her home from work. Less work meant less income, and she got behind on her mortgage.
Her situation with her husband improved, and he was able to return home. He agreed to be the primary caretaker allowing her to work full-time. Jazmin’s family life, finances, and future are back on-track and sustainable, but the setbacks from the past are preventing her from catching up on her mortgage.
